Ballynahinch counselling centre opens

Ballynahinch counselling centre opens

30 January 2013

A BALLYNAHINCH counselling service has unveiled its new premises.

The Hub is a partnership of churches, volunteer and statutory agencies who have all come together to provide professional counselling at new premises on Windmill Street.

The initiative offers a free, caring and confidential counselling service through funding from the Public Health Agency and a number of charitable funding sources.

Counsellors are either accredited or are actively working towards accreditation, are all members of professional bodies and are bound by their code of ethics. All counsellors receive professional supervision for their clinical work.

The Hub also provides a -in, signposting facility which will point people towards the best support and advice for their particular situation. It is one of a number of such centres in Northern Ireland.

There are trained volunteers for this strand of the work who are co-ordinated by our new Centre Manager, Deborah Boden.

The Hub is open five mornings a week as well as some afternoons and evenings.

Anyone who wants information on The Hub or wishes to speak to someone confidentially please contact Deborah Boden on 028 9756 1100 or deborah@thehub-ballynahinch.org
