A DOWNPATRICK bakery has raised over £1,000 for the MS Society.
Eleanor Clarke, who was diagnosed with MS in 2001, raised the money in a recent Cake Break at Lucy Annie’s in Downpatrick.
Along with her colleagues, she offered tasty treats, cakes and buns in return for donations.
A cheque for £1,100 was presented this week to MS Society fundraiser, Samantha Creighton, who thanked all the generous staff and customers.
“Cake Break was really the perfect fundraiser for them and they have done exceptionally well to raise such a large amount,” she said.
“This will help us to fund potentially life change MS research and making a real difference to people affected by MS. Thanks to Eleanor and all her colleagues and customers.”
The MS Society is a national charity helping more than 4000 people living with MS in Northern Ireland. For more details on their work visit: www.mssociety.org.uk
