CURRAN’S Bar and Seafood Steakhouse is officially the best family friendly pub in Northern Ireland.

Located in Chapeltown, near Ardglass, Curran’s scooped the prestigious Province-wide title at a glittering awards ceremony at Belfast City Hall last week hosted by Pubs of Ulster

Having already won the regional title, Curran’s was up against other regional winners from across Northern Ireland last week and came out on top.

The annual Pub of the Year Awards is the culmination of an extensive search for the best pubs in a range of categories across Northern Ireland.

Curran’s owner Paula Mahon said the success of the business is down to hard work, commitment and enthusiasm of staff. She also singled loyal customers for their continued support.

“It is brilliant we have won this award which is due to the efforts of our magnificent staff. I am pleased their hard efforts have been recognised,” she said.

“We were up against some very stiff competition which makes winning the Province-wide title all the more pleasing. The award is a huge honour for the business and we are very pleased.”

Paula said she could not praise her staff and loyal customers enough and expressed delight that Curran’s was voted the best family friendly pub in Northern Ireland.

Curran’s was selected along with other finalists following an extensive judging process and were judged, depending on their category, by written submissions, interviews or by independent mystery shoppers.
