American professor talk at St Pat Centre

THE Saint Patrick Centre highly successful monthly lecture series about the life and legacy of St Patrick continues tomorrow night.

The guest speaker will be Professor Mike Cronin, from Boston College in the United States.

Professor Cronin has been the Academic Director of Boston College Ireland since 2005 and has published widely on many aspects of Irish history.

He is a regular media commentator on sporting history and between 2008 and 2012 developed the GAA oral history project.

Professor Cronin’s interest in St Patrick began with his publication, ‘The Wearing of the Green – A History of Saint Patrick’s Day, in 2002.

His talk, entitled ‘Saint Patrick and the American Connection’, starts at 7.30pm and admission is free.
