Student wins top award

A FORMER student at St Mary’s High School in Downpatrick has been presented with a top award by the Ulster University Business School.

Melissa Kent, a BSc honours International Hospitality Management graduate, won the Da Vinci’s Hotel Cup for the best overall performance on the strategic hospitality management module.

Professor Una McMahon-Beattie, head of department, said in conjunction with the university’s industry partners, the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management is delighted to celebrate and recognise the excellence of its students.
