Racecourse named Sports Venue of the Year at awards

DOWNPATRICK Racecourse is celebrating after being named Sports Venue of the Year at the Northern Ireland Hospitality Awards last week.

The award is deserved recognition of the major improvements which have taken place at the racecourse in recent years.

The black tie event was held at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Belfast and was hosted by Cool FM DJ Paulo Ross from Ardglass.

Course manager Richard Lyttle said: “We were delighted to be named as Sports Venue of the Year 2018 at the Northern Ireland Hospitality Awards.

“A massive thank you to the team and to everyone who comes to Downpatrick Racecourse and supports us.”
