FOREST Service officials have been asked to help address a parking issue at the rear entrance to Tollymore Forest Park. South Down MLA Colin McGrath and councillor Laura Devlin have been contacted by a number of concerned residents who live close to the park’s rear entrance in Bryansford village. Mr McGrath said the issues raised with him include cars parked illegally and blocked sight lines for residents who live close to the rear entrance at the Hilltown Road in the village. “Parking close to this entrance to the park is an issue which needs to be addressed and I have asked the Forest Service to do what it can to help,” the MLA added. Councillor Devlin said the district is fortunate to have many beautiful attractions on its doorstep, but explained this can sometimes cause problems. She added: “I would welcome the Forest Service examining the parking situation at the rear entrance to Tollymore and hope improvements can be made.”
