Local bus station wins award

18 October 2017

STAFF at Downpatrick bus station have been honoured for their efforts in helping passengers and  colleagues.

Employees at the Market Street depot have been presented with a prestigious platinum Spirit of Translink award in recognition of their continuing efforts to develop a culture of continuous improvement for the benefit of passengers, the public and fellow staff members.

The awards, in partnership with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful, embrace Translink’s main corporate responsibility themes of “go safe, go eco, go healthy and go together” and are judged across key criteria.

More than 40 Translink locations took part in the inaugural year of the awards and Translink plans to expand the scheme further with a commitment to enhancing customer experience and safety. The initiative also ensures the business upholds its environmental responsibility focus, making Northern Ireland a more attractive place to live and work, while supporting the local economy.

Downpatrick bus depot was one of six platinum award winners, with gold awards distributed to a further 20 Translink facilities.
