Friends Day Nurseries lift two awards

FRIENDS Day Nurseries at Saintfield and Crossgar are celebrating after scooping a number of awards at the recent Families First awards ceremony at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Belfast.

The local business won the Best After School Club award for its

after school club at Cedar Integrated Primary School, Crossgar.

It was also voted Best ECO friendly Day Care for its nurseries at Saintfield and Crossgar, while owner and manager Kit Williamson picked up the Best Day Nursery Mentor award.

Friends Day Nurseries was founded 20 years ago by Kit, a former nurse who concluded her nursing and teaching career as a lecturer at Queen’s University Belfast.

Commenting on the awards, she congratulates her team for their “hard work, dedication and commitment to the children” and also thanked parents for their continued support.
