Emma to scale the heights in aid of kids cancer charity

30 July 2014

A KILLYLEAGH woman plans to rise above her fear of heights to raise money for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children this Friday.

Emma Armer, who works at Henderson’s store in the town, is part of a team of five brave volunteers who are being airlifted 140 feet in the air outside Belfast City Hall on August 1.

The cherry picker challenge will see Emma and other plucky volunteers from the Henderson Group taking part in the challenge alongside Citybeat’s Stephen Clements.

Henderson Wholesale Ltd, along with its Eurospar and Vivoextra stores, has been supporting the Cancer Fund for Children since May 2011 and has to date raised over £30,000.

Martin Agnew, the Henderson Group’s joint managing director, is also taking part in the fundraiser to “raise funds for such a worthwhile local charity.”

To donate to Emma or any member of the team taking part in the challenge text PICK14 £3 to 70070.

The donation will help support children, teenagers and young people living with cancer in Northern Ireland.
